Tour Itinerary

Urriðafoss is Iceland's most voluminous waterfall, where the mighty Þjórsá River crashes across a wide basaltic ledge in a thunderous display of glacial power. Unlike Iceland's famous single-drop falls, Urriðafoss creates a broad curtain of cascading water spanning the full width of the river. Multiple viewpoints let you take in the spectacle, with rainbow-filled mist on sunny days and a dramatic volcanic backdrop that makes this underappreciated natural monument a true highlight.

The Caves of Hella take you on an extraordinary underground adventure through one of South Iceland's most fascinating cave systems, formed thousands of years ago by flowing lava that left behind magnificent subterranean chambers. Inside, colorful mineral deposits, dramatic rock textures, and perfectly preserved lava flow patterns reveal the story of Iceland's fiery creation. This hidden treasure of the South Coast offers volcanic geology insights you simply cannot experience on the surface.

Kvernufoss is one of Iceland's most rewarding hidden waterfalls, where a scenic moderate hike leads to a spectacular 30-meter cascade with the unique opportunity to walk completely behind the falling water. This lesser-known gem's secluded location ensures an intimate, crowd-free experience surrounded by volcanic cliffs and lush Arctic vegetation. Standing behind the curtain of water as sunlight filters through is a truly unforgettable moment on the South Coast.

The Sólheimajökull viewpoint offers a dramatic encounter with one of Iceland's most accessible glacier tongues, an outlet of the mighty Mýrdalsjökull ice cap. Pristine white ice contrasts strikingly with black volcanic ash, creating a vivid portrait of Iceland's eternal fire-and-ice interplay. From this vantage point you can observe the glacier's terminus and surrounding moraines, gaining tangible insight into glacial processes and climate change in a setting of raw, unforgettable beauty.

Gluggafoss is one of Iceland's best-kept secrets, a spectacular multi-tiered waterfall hidden within a dramatic volcanic canyon. The name "Gluggafoss" translates to "Window Falls," referring to the unique rock formations that frame the cascade like natural windows, creating extraordinary photo opportunities. Tucked away from the crowds, this secluded gem lets you appreciate the intricate artistry of water carving through ancient lava in a peaceful, almost sacred setting.
