Agreement to Terms

By booking a tour or service with Iceland For You (operated by Lilja Tours ehf), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before making a booking.

Booking and Confirmation

  • All bookings must be made through our website or authorized booking channels.
  • A booking is confirmed once full payment is received and you receive a confirmation email.
  • You must provide accurate information including names, contact details, and any special requirements.
  • Booking on behalf of others means you are responsible for ensuring they accept these terms.

Pricing and Payment

  • All prices are displayed in Icelandic Króna (ISK), with approximate USD and EUR conversions shown for reference.
  • Final charges are made in ISK; exchange rates may vary at the time of payment.
  • Full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise stated.
  • All prices include VAT where applicable.

Cancellation Policy

For Iceland For You Tours:

  • Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the tour departure time.
  • Cancellations within 24 hours of departure: No refund.
  • No-shows: No refund.

For Partner Excursions:

  • Cancellation policies vary by partner. Please refer to the specific excursion page for details.
  • We recommend booking travel insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances.

Tour Changes and Cancellation by Us

  • We reserve the right to modify tour itineraries due to weather, road conditions, or safety concerns.
  • In case of tour cancellation by us, you will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule.
  • We are not responsible for expenses incurred due to tour cancellations beyond our control.

Tour Participation

  • Participants must be physically fit to participate in the activities described.
  • Age and health restrictions apply to certain tours - please check individual tour pages.
  • You must follow the instructions of your guide at all times for safety reasons.
  • We reserve the right to refuse participation to anyone who appears intoxicated or poses a safety risk.

What to Bring

  • Dress appropriately for Icelandic weather conditions (layers, waterproof jacket, sturdy shoes).
  • Specific requirements are listed on each tour page.
  • We are not responsible for personal belongings lost during tours.

Pick-up Service

  • Pick-up is included from designated locations in the Reykjavík area.
  • Be at your designated pick-up point 5-10 minutes before scheduled time.
  • Pick-up may take up to 30 minutes as we collect other guests.
  • If you miss your pick-up, no refund will be provided.

Liability

  • Iceland For You and Lilja Tours ehf act as tour operators and booking agents.
  • For partner excursions, the partner company is responsible for the service delivery.
  • We are not liable for injuries, losses, or damages arising from participation in tours, except where caused by our negligence.
  • We strongly recommend travel insurance covering medical emergencies and trip cancellation.

Force Majeure

We are not liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: extreme weather, volcanic activity, earthquakes, pandemics, government restrictions, or other natural disasters.

Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, images, logos, and graphics, is the property of Iceland For You and Lilja Tours ehf. Unauthorized use is prohibited.

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Iceland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Icelandic courts.
